Figured I'd do a new post now that its ridable, instead of continuing in my intro thread.

Around September I got my bike ridable, and had a blast tooling around on it.

I even took it to a bike show and won the trophy for "ugliest bike" (chained to my bike to bring home - the chain cam with the bike, matches the tank and ignition).

I went on a road trip and blew an oil line (it was touching the wrapped header down near the merge, stayed cool enough not to burn rubber until I had a heavy engine load). So I've spent the past couple months finding and installing a replacement (from a Maxim instead of Seca, same engine with rubber mounts and no rear shift mount).

Here's the bike as I rode it a couple days ago. Also has new tires, new front shock (the one I built with was from a GSXR1000 and at 650 lbs/in proved a bit to soft; the new one is from a gen 2 Hyabusa, 850lbs/in, fits right in like the old one) so now rides AMAZINGLY well. Also added is an 18 watt LED flood on the left, and an ammo can "glove box" on the right.

I'm still sorting out some issues with the front brakes (they warm up and then lock) and want to upgrade a few other small things (nothing else that prevents riding), but it proving a hoot to ride. Here's a vidoe of a small test trip up and down my driveway.
