NI Rats, short for N.I. Rat and Survival, are the punk rockers of the Northern Irish vast biking community. The group started in June 2014 and brought together misfits from all over the province that share the same love for the dark side of the motorcycle world. Within a year of existence the group took part in lots of different events including the Mad Max 2 screening by the Belfast Film Festival, the Premiere of MAD MAX Fury Road in Belfast, the organisation of the 1st Weird & Wonderful on Wheels at the Sunflowerfest and secured the Best Rat category at the Belfast Custom Show for the first time in 10 years of existence. All this activity led to an interest by a local Film maker (Andrew Molloy) to do a Documentary on the local Rats, taking place at the moment.
2016 saw the group hosting there first meet in the shape of "Ratfest" which saw people coming from England, Scottland and even Spain to join in.

The Rat on our logo got named RAMY in memory of our original and much missed ratter, Remigijus Lazauskas, who passed away in Nov 2014.
The group includes now members from the Hot Rod and Ratlook community, our gallery grew to over 60 vehicles province-wide, NI Rats are becoming a distinguished presence within the World's Rat and Survival Community.
